The Way I see it #204

Have you ever read the sides of your starbucks cups? Today I got one that drew my attention:

Remember your dreams and fight for them. You must know what you want from life. There is just one thing that makes your dream become impossible: the fear of failure. Never forget your Personal Legend. Never forget your dreams. Your silent heart will guide you. Be silent now. It is the possibilty of a dream that makes life interesting. You can choose between being a victim of destiny or an adventurer who is fighting for something important. --Paulo Coelho

Valentine Smalentine...

Don't get me wrong, I am anything but not in love. So I am not really complaining...I think...
I can't remember the last time I saw so many feakin' balloons scattered around an office building...I think when you have been married as long as I have, you begin to look at this "Lovers Holiday" as being more of a pain than a pleasure. Although, I have to admit, I did get a little something for the girls in my pod and did wear my fun red shoes for the holiday. Ok, and did enjoy getting flowers from the hubby. OH and I also enjoyed the sign I saw outside of someones cube today nicely decorated with the statment "HAPPY VALENTINES/SINGLES AWARENESS DAY!!!" It's nice to see those single peeps embracing the fact that you don't "need" someone to feel loved!! Rock on!!!
Then the most over asked question of the day, "So what are you doing for Valentines?" Um going to the gym, and then going home to cook dinner and hang out on the couch with my husband, watch American Idol, and kiss and cuddle with my dogs a bit. I might even attempt to do some math homework...Gosh, that sounds so much more enjoyable then dealing with the masses of dolled up couples attempting to enjoy a nice evening out. I like my simplicity, although I feel so complex at times.
